We are an all-volunteer organization whose mission is to provide an enjoyable recreational rail-trail and greenspace corridor open to the public and easily accessible by hundreds of thousands of southwestern Pennsylvanian residents.

Our trail also provides a connection to the Greater Pittsburgh Airport for the Great Allegheny Passage, a rail-trail that connects Pittsburgh with Cumberland, Maryland, and from there to Washington DC via the C&O Towpath.

We are also a land trust responsible for preservation of greenspace in the trail's viewscape.
